On my little ride out on Monday I took a couple of shots of one of the old Follies that have been restored at Harwick Hall Country Park near Sedgefield.

First is three bracketed shots merged with the CS3 auto HDR function.

Next a wide angle fungi with the folly as a backdrop.

I thought I posted these earlier today but I can't find them blink.gif unsure.gif , never mind finepixs5600/risatonaD.gif .

That last shot is an inspired composition Shaggy. I would never have come up with a shot like that, just so quirky it is a great picture.

The first one I am not sure about simply because of something you have no control over. The single hand rail makes it a tad unbalanced to me but that is a silly thing as I would not expect you to attack it with a hacksaw so I am not sure what I would do other than make it mono and shove the contrast up a bit (my picture band aid lol)

You know Paddy i thought the same thing about the handrail, I would have moved to the top of the stairs and got low to solve that problem

I do like the last shot, it's much more then a shot of a mushroom and the composition works really well.

it could be improved just a little tough by using some kind of reflector just to throw a little light on the under side, not a major thing I know , but I am at the moment obsessed with light ( as I think we all should be as photographers )

I do like the mushroom shot, it stands out just right against the folly.
I do like these sort of shots finepixs5600/emoticon-0178-rock.gif

I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term -- meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching -- there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster.

Thanks guys finepixs5600/thumbsupsmiley[1].png .

I see what you mean about the handrail upsetting the balance a bit, but I wanted the steps leading up to the Folly and the handrail was just there finepixs5600/emozionato.gif .
Now where did I put that hacksaw finepixs5600/www.vvoc.com.gif finepixs5600/risatonaD.gif .

One of the things I wasn't sure about, was the Grass looks rather dull and could do with some colour boost finepixs5600/_s.gif .
Oh well!! Back to the drawing board finepixs5600/thumbsupsmiley[1].png .
